Flight Simulation     Guest: Darryl Saunders
Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT) is the worldwide leader in software, services and Internet technologies for personal and business computing. Founded in 1975, Microsoft offers a wide range of products and services designed to empower people through great software. 2003 marked the 100-year anniversary of man's first successful powered flight. In commemoration of the Centennial of Flight, Microsoft acted as an official sponsor of the Experimental Aircraft Association’s (EAA) Countdown to Kitty Hawk. Visitors to the Countdown to Kitty Hawk pavilion re-created their own first flight using Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004: Century of Flight.

Darryl Saunders, Senior Product Manager for Microsoft Simulation, explains the latest innovations to this immensely popular flight simulation program. Flight Simulator 2004 includes a new dynamic weather system that creates real-time, real-world weather situations with the inclusion of such historic aircraft as the 1903 Wright Flyer, Curtiss JN-4D "Jenny", Charles Lindbergh’s Ryan NYP "Spirit of St. Louis" and the Douglas DC-3 along with 15 contemporary aircraft.
